Instead of setting a broad goal like "improve mental health," break it down into specific actions such as "practice mindfulness for 10 minutes each day." This makes the goal feel more achievable and keeps you motivated as you check off each task.
Next, practice SMART goal-setting—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. By ensuring your goals meet these criteria, you can create clear milestones and track your progress. For example, a goal like “attend a therapy session once a week for the next three months” is specific, measurable, and time-bound, making it easier to stay focused on your healing journey.
