Mental Health Minute!

The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates coined the phrase "Let Food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food," a quote that has been largely forgotten in modern society.

Considering the commercialization and toxicity of today's food, it is likely that Hippocrates would be appalled.

Research on food additives reveals their negative impact on overall health and the immune system, causing rampant inflammation.

Some foods, however, can reduce anxiety and depression by lowering cortisol levels in the body.

These include walnuts, beets, coconut oil, grass-fed beef, cruciferous vegetables, quinoa, kale, ginger, garlic, and curry.

In order to improve mental and physical well-being, it is crucial to view food as medicine and prioritize fresh and organic options.
